for the veil between ability and frailty is thinner than a breath.”
A nurse’s neglect, a driver’s error, or a simple accident can transform
strength into frailty in an instant. Disability is not distant—it is woven into
the fragile fabric of human existence. To despise those who live with
disability is to despise the truth of our shared vulnerability.
