Traditional and cultural beliefs have long fueled the perception that
disability is a punishment, a curse upon the family or the individual. Yet these
beliefs are born of partial sight, judging the soul by the narrow lens of one
lifetime.
The DISABILITY COMPASSION OUTREACH of CCF declares: the
time has come to change perspectives within and beyond Ghana. Disability is not
condemnation—it is consecration. It is a chosen equipment, a spiritual tool,
enabling the soul to fulfill its mission with precision and depth.
Therefore, advocacy must dismantle stigma. Accessibility must be guaranteed
in schools, workplaces, and public spaces. Empowerment must be extended through
education, healthcare, and livelihood support. Inclusivity must be the
heartbeat of every policy and program.
